Announcing the launch of the 3N Dark Fiber Network.

We’re redefining how national fiber is built and powering the next generation of connectivity.

Where Critical Infrastructure Meets Reliable Connectivity.

The 3N Dark Fiber Network is a next generation backbone delivering a truly diverse, high-performance fiber route between New York and Houston built entirely inside a natural gas pipeline easement.

About 3N Networks

3N Networks, in collaboration with a large natural gas infrastructure company , is developing the 3N Dark Fiber Network in 3 phases. Phase 1 will be built in the target-rich market of Ashburn, VA → Atlanta, GA (540 miles) and phase 2 from New York to Ashburn and phase 3 will be from Atlanta to Houston. The 1,500-mile route will interconnect many of the most critical digital hubs along the East Coast and Gulf Region.

Our Advantage

True physical route diversity — not marketing “diversity”. Most long-haul fiber still follows the same highways, railways, and utility corridors. Our network is built entirely inside a federally regulated natural-gas ROW, creating genuine, non-overlapping physical diversity that legacy networks simply cannot replicate.

Our Network

Scalable national backbone vision
With access to 1,500+ miles of natural gas ROW, the 3N Fiber Network is engineered to extend from Houston to New York creating a one-of-a-kind national fiber backbone traversing through major U.S. data and interconnection markets.

Lower Latency
True Route Diversity
Fully Underground & Secure
Hyperscale-Ready Capacity
Fast Deployment
Carrier-Aligned Infrastructure

Scalable National Backbone Vision
With access to 1,500+ miles of gas pipeline, 3N is positioned to scale beyond Northern Virginia into a new national fiber backbone spanning major U.S. data and interconnection markets.

Our Solutions

The 3N Fiber Network is intentionally designed to augment, not displace, existing carrier infrastructure. By providing a non-replicable alternate route that enhances network diversity and strengthens long-haul and metro connectivity.

3N prioritizes long-term IRUs and wholesale partnerships, offering carriers:

  • Control of dark fiber
  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • Predictable long-term cost structures
  • Flexible O&M support options
  • Hyperscalers – True physical diversity
  • Data Centers – More Tenant Value
  • Long-Haul Carriers – Secondary backbone dependency
  • Regional Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) – Capacity & Diversity

Preparing for the future.

The 3N Networks Advantage

A network designed beyond legacy fiber constraints. Purpose-built infrastructure supporting hyperscale traffic, AI workloads, and long-term IRU capacity growth.

True Physical

Backbone Engineered to Support AI Traffic

Massive East-West Data Replication

Our Advantage

A Truly Superior Network

True physical route diversity — not marketing “diversity”
Most long-haul fiber still follows the same highways, railways, and utility corridors. Our network is built entirely inside a federally regulated natural-gas ROW, creating genuine, non-overlapping physical diversity that legacy networks simply cannot replicate.

Fully underground, secure, carrier-grade infrastructure.
3N fiber is 100% underground within an access-controlled, monitored corridor engineered for critical infrastructure — not roadside telecom installs.

  • Purpose-built for next-generation transport demand
  • 3N’s backbone is engineered to support AI and hyperscale traffic.
  • Massive east-west data replication
  • High-strand-count IRUs
  • Long-term bandwidth growth beyond current forecasts

Why 3N Networks?

3N stands alone with a protected, scalable, already-approved corridor

The Right Partners. The Right Corridor. The Right Time.

  • $400B+ global data center investment over next decade
  • AI models doubling compute needs every 36 months
  • Hyperscalers are requiring more mile-over-mile redundancy
  • New data centers clustering around Ashburn, Manassas, Richmond, and the Southeast
  • Federal & state incentives backing middle-mile & backbone builds

Demand isn’t growing — it’s exploding.

About 3N Dark Fiber Network

The 3N Fiber Network is a next-generation long-haul dark fiber backbone developed by 3N Networks in partnership with a large gas company, leveraging an existing, maintained natural gas pipeline right-of-way (ROW). This corridor provides a physically protected, highly diverse, low-latency fiber path designed specifically for hyperscale, carrier, and data-center connectivity needs.
Most long-haul routes follow rail, highway, or aerial utility corridors that are congested, exposed, and vulnerable to common failure events. The 3N Dark Fiber Network is built inside a secured natural gas ROW, offering true physical diversity, straighter paths with minimal bends, 100% buried construction, and continuous corridor monitoring.

Route, Architecture & Performance

Phase I includes a 544-mile protected corridor through Northern Virginia’s Data Center Alley to Atlanta, with expansion planned along a 1,500-mile Williams Transco pipeline easement driven by customer demand.
The route is engineered for direct, straight-line construction with minimal bends, reducing optical loss and latency compared to traditional routes.

Reliability, Security & Resiliency

The fiber is deployed within an active, maintained Williams natural gas corridor with 24/7 monitoring, strict access controls, continuous inspection, and coordinated emergency response protocols.

Commercial Model

3N offers flexible commercial options including long-term IRUs, lease-based structures, scalable capacity blocks, and anchor customer positioning.

Pricing is not published publicly. Commercial terms are tailored based on route segment, capacity requirements, and term length.
